In fall 2013, the rector and parish of Christ Church Cathedral with the help of Bishop Larry started hosting Messy Church sessions from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday afternoons.
The initiative reaches out to families to help do family things together, beginning with a welcome, crafts, activities and games, then a short celebration (worship) and finally a prepared hot meal. We have had excellent participation with current church family members and families who have not been actively involved in church activities. The number of people coming together has ranged from 25 and 40 people on a Sunday afternoon. We welcome you to join us. See article in the Northern Lights Journal by Bishop Larry Robertson.
